Accomplishments!
Hi hi. Hope everyone is well.
I know I haven’t been as consistent as we used to be in updates.
I just figured I would share some of Alice’s most recent highlights.
I still am taken away by the fact that she is 6 and half now! 5 years Post Transplant, working on 6.
She recently joined Girl Scouts as a Daisy.
She has a digital website….if anyone is interested.
😁🍪
She had a nice and quiet Christmas. She lost her two front teeth just in time to ask Santa for those.
At the moment her favorite song is “I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.”
But, her Nana keeps singing her ” All I want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth”
Alice also had a fun and made it until 1:30 AM, New Year’s. She got to spend time with her Brother Ethan, we had a glow stick party. She got to play video games with the big kids.
Also! Alice STOOD Unsupported!
Alice was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy 2 years ago at the age of 4. Ataxic Diplegic. She does not stand or walk unsupported.she uses a walker, ( gait trainer), to get around or she crawls. She has had a walker since she was 2
She also likes to hold onto the wall or furniture to cruise around.
I cannot even begin to express how exciting this is !
She was so very nervous.
This is a HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT for her!
Alice Marie has been working hard with Miss Robin, (PT at school), and with Miss Tonya ( PT at home over Zoom).
We know she has been working hard with Miss Robin and has made so much progress. But she still was nervous at home. I can’t wait to see what the next few months bring us.
So proud of her and her tenacity.
She is still a firecracker and doesn’t let anything stop her.
She has started reading and loves math.
( Especially when we use treats to help. )
We are so very grateful for all the Love and support that we have received from our Family, Friends and Community.
Thank you all so much!
